The short version
Everest handles all residential gutter needs — from installation and repair to gutter cleaning and protection — to keep water away from your foundation, siding, roof edge, and landscaping. Whether you need a full system or a simple repair, they’ll assess the whole setup and recommend only what it actually needs.
At Everest, we treat your houses like homes, not warehouses. A house has a foundation, finished basement, wood trim, and landscaping to protect, and all four of these depend on where your roof sends its water.
Your gutters protect more than the roof
Here’s the number that changes how people think about this. One inch of rain falling on 1,000 square feet of roof produces about 620 gallons of water. A typical Edina home has considerably more roof than that. So a single ordinary rainstorm can send well over half a ton of water down your roofline in an afternoon.
Your gutter system controls where that water ends up. When it works properly, water flows through the gutters and downspouts and away from your foundation. When it fails, that same water can repeatedly collect around your home or worse, flood your basement or damage the foundation.
That’s why residential gutter service provides protection for all of your home, not just the gutters.
What’s at stake

Your foundation and basement
Most wet basements in Minnesota aren’t groundwater problems. They’re surface water problems from rain landing next to the wall and finding its way in. Foundation soil is looser than undisturbed ground, making it easier for water to travel toward your home. Repeated soaking can also cause the soil to expand and shrink, putting pressure on the foundation. In spring, frozen ground and snowmelt can make the problem even worse.
Your siding and trim
A gutter overflowing at one spot creates a drip line that hits the same few feet of siding thousands of times. First, the paint begins to fail, the wood trim goes soft, then dark streaks show up and mildew begins to show. On stucco and LP siding, the damage often stays hidden until it’s an expensive repair.

Your roof edge
Water backing up behind a gutter runs down the fascia board and into the soffit. That’s slow rot in wood you can’t see from the ground. It also makes the ice dam problem worse each winter, because ice dams push water under the shingles
Your landscaping
Concentrated runoff can wash away mulch, erode soil along the drip line exposing roots, and oversaturate plants. On sloped lots like those around Indian Hills and Rolling Green, the water moves faster and these problems can show up sooner.

The Residential Services We Provide
Seamless gutter installation
Every gutter we install is seamless, rolled to length on site so the trough has no joints along the run. We install K-style and half round in 5″ and 6″, in aluminum, galvanized steel, and copper.
Gutter protection
Our ArmourGuard® system uses sealed stainless steel micro mesh protection for your home. It’s a completely sealed system that has no holes, slots, or seams. This ensures that water is the only thing that gets into the gutter. The ArmourGuard® Ice version adds heat through the frame to keep meltwater moving and stop ice dams from forming at the roof edge.
Gutter repair
Not every problem needs a new system. Sagging runs, loose hangers, separated downspout elbows, open seams, and bad pitch are all repairable. A repair costs a fraction of a replacement, and on a system that’s otherwise sound, it’s the right call.
Gutter cleaning
Most Edina homes do best with cleaning twice a year — late spring after the seeds drop, late fall after the leaves come down. Wooded lots off Interlachen or near Braemar Park sometimes need a third pass.
Gutter inspection
Gutters fail quietly. Pitch drifts, a hanger loosens, a seam opens by a hair… None of it is visible from the driveway until there’s a stain on the ceiling. An inspection catches that while it’s still small, and allows you to fix it before it even becomes a problem.
A Year of Gutters in Edina
Each season puts your gutters to a different test. Spring brings snowmelt and frozen ground, making it important to check for standing water near the foundation and damage from winter. Summer brings heavy downpours that can reveal overflowing gutters caused by poor sizing or pitch, even when they’re clean. Fall means full gutters, especially in tree-lined areas like the Country Club District, Morningside, and White Oaks, so they should be cleared before the first hard freeze. Winter turns any debris left behind into solid ice, adding enough weight to bend hangers or pull gutters away from the house.
Why local knowledge matters here
Edina isn’t one housing stock. The Country Club District and Morningside are largely 1920s through 1940s, often with original wood fascia and older hanging systems behind newer gutters. Parkwood Knolls has newer construction with long uninterrupted runs feeding a single downspout. The wooded lots near Interlachen carry heavy leaf load year-round. A crew that works these streets regularly knows which pattern it’s walking into before the ladder comes off the truck.
Everest operates in Edina, and serves Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Bloomington, Plymouth, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Wayzata, and the surrounding west metro.
Getting started
Tell us what you’re seeing, either overflow in one corner, a stain on the ceiling, water in the basement after storms, or just that you can’t remember the last time anyone looked. We’ll come out, look at the whole system, and tell you what it needs. If that’s a repair rather than a replacement, we’ll say so.

Gutter Installation Questions
How long does a gutter installation take?
Most homes are done in a single day. We pull the old gutters, haul them off, roll the new runs on site, hang them, and run water through the finished system before we leave.
Should I choose 5″ or 6″ gutters?
Six-inch K-style moves noticeably more water and pairs well with larger roof planes or steep pitches that dump fast. Five-inch is plenty for many Edina homes. We size it based on your roof area and pitch rather than a default.
Is half round worth it over K-style?
It depends on what you want out of it. K-style carries more water at the same width and costs less. Half round is the right call when the look matters — it suits older architecture like the Country Club District, and in copper it becomes a feature of the house.
Do you install gutter guards at the same time?
Yes. Adding ArmourGuard during the install is cheaper than coming back for it later, since the crew and the ladders are already there. It’s worth asking about when you get your quote.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on linear footage, profile, and material. We give you one flat number in writing before any work starts, and that’s the number on the invoice.
