The short version

Everest Seamless Gutters repairs leaks, clogs, sagging runs, failed seams, downspouts, and more — tracing each problem to its real source rather than patching the spot where you noticed it. If a repair will serve you better than a replacement, that’s what they’ll recommend, with flat pricing in writing before any work starts.

Most people who call us about gutter repair are half-expecting to be told they need a whole new system, but usually that’s not what they need. A gutter that leaks at one corner, sags in the middle of a run, or dumps water over the front edge in a heavy rain just needs a repair and replacing it would make you spend twice as much than what it truly costs.

Everest handles gutter repair on homes throughout Edina. We are experts in what we do and can handle any type of repair that your gutters would need.

Tell us what you see, we’ll tell you what it is and how we can fix it

Homeowners don’t always know exactly what the problem is, but the symptom is enough for us to narrow it down. What you’re seeing around your gutters can tell us a lot about what’s happening. Overflow during a hard rain, water running behind the gutter, pooling in the trough, or a downspout that isn’t draining properly are often signs of a specific underlying issue and not simply a dirty gutter.

Tell us what you’ve noticed, and our crew can use those symptoms to find where the problem is coming from.

Leaking Gutter Repair

Leaks are the most common gutter repair we do, and the leak is rarely where the drip appears. Water travels along metal and down the fascia before it becomes visible, so we trace it back to the source. The leak could be coming from a seam, an end cap, an outlet collar, or a fastener hole. We repair the source rather than just the spot where you noticed it.

Clogged Gutter Repair

A clog that’s been sitting for long stops needing cleaning, it becomes a repair. Packed wet debris is heavy, and that weight bends hangers, pulls spikes out of the fascia, and warps the trough so it no longer drains even once it’s empty. If the system is just full, you need gutter cleaning. If it’s full and the gutter has deformed under the load, that’s clogged gutter repair, and clearing it alone won’t fix the drainage.

Sectional Gutter Repair

Plenty of Edina homes still have sectional gutters, the ten-foot lengths joined every few feet with sealant at each connection. Those joints are where sectional systems fail, and we repair them: resealing connections, replacing damaged sections, and tightening the whole run back into alignment. It’s a legitimate fix on a system that’s otherwise sound, and it costs a fraction of replacement.

Box Gutter Repair

Box gutters are the built-in kind which consist of a wooden trough integrated into the roof structure and lined with metal. These are common on older and architecturally distinctive homes around Country Club and Grandview. They fail differently than hung gutters, usually at the liner or the seams within it, and a leak goes straight into the roof structure rather than down the outside of the house. Box gutter repair is specialized work and worth doing promptly, since the damage is structural rather than cosmetic.

Gutter Seam Repair

These three overlap, so we treat them together. Gutter seam repair addresses the joints where two pieces of metal meet: the corners, end caps, and section connections on non-seamless systems. Gutter joint sealing and gutter caulking are the techniques: cleaning the old failed material out completely, prepping the metal, and applying a sealant rated for the expansion and contraction a Minnesota gutter goes through. Caulking over old caulk is why so many “repaired” seams leak again in eighteen months. We remove the old caulk before placing the new one.

Gutter Slope Adjustment

A gutter needs a slight, steady fall toward the outlet in order to clear the water continually. Over years, hangers loosen and the trough drops between them, and suddenly a run that drained fine, now holds a puddle. Gutter pitch adjustment and gutter slope adjustment reset that fall. Sagging gutter correction and gutter hanger replacement fix what caused it. Gutter realignment brings the whole run back tight and straight against the house.

Gutter System Upgrades

Your gutter isn’t always broken, many times it’s undersized. If one section overflows every hard rain while the rest of the house is fine, that section is taking more water than it was built for. Gutter system upgrades address that, we can fix that by moving a run from 5″ to 6″, adding a downspout so a long run isn’t draining to one end, or swapping spike-and-ferrule hardware for hidden hangers that hold better through winter.

Downspout Repairs

Downspouts fail more often than gutters. Elbows can separate, straps become loose, and the bottom section gets knocked off by a snowblower or a kid’s bike. Downspout repair puts that back together. Gutter downspout extension carries water further out, which matters because a downspout emptying next to the foundation is barely better than no downspout at all. Gutter downspout rerouting moves the discharge entirely around a walkway, away from a low spot in the yard, or to somewhere the water can soak in instead of running back toward the house.

Repairs are not always the best choice

We’d rather fix your gutters than sell you new ones, but there’s a point where patching costs more than it saves. If the same run has been repaired twice, if the fascia behind the gutter is rotted along most of its length, if the metal has corroded through in multiple places, or if the system is sectional and failing at joint after joint, replacement is the cheaper path over five years.

What You’re Protecting

A failing gutter damages your home slowly. When water repeatedly overflows in the same spot, it can damage siding and strip away paint. Water that gets behind the gutter can lead to rot in the fascia and soffit, while water collecting around the foundation can work its way into the basement. The sooner you address the gutter issue, the less chance there is for water to turn a small repair into a larger home problem.

Work You Can Trust

Everest is out on these streets constantly, from the older homes around Countryside to the newer builds on the west side, and we’ve seen what this climate does to gutters over enough winters to know where to look first.

Pricing is flat and in writing before any work starts, and if a repair will serve you better than a replacement, that’s what we’ll do.

Gutter Installation Questions

How long does a gutter installation take?

Most homes are done in a single day. We pull the old gutters, haul them off, roll the new runs on site, hang them, and run water through the finished system before we leave.

Should I choose 5″ or 6″ gutters?

Six-inch K-style moves noticeably more water and pairs well with larger roof planes or steep pitches that dump fast. Five-inch is plenty for many Edina homes. We size it based on your roof area and pitch rather than a default.

Is half round worth it over K-style?

It depends on what you want out of it. K-style carries more water at the same width and costs less. Half round is the right call when the look matters — it suits older architecture like the Country Club District, and in copper it becomes a feature of the house.

Do you install gutter guards at the same time?

Yes. Adding ArmourGuard during the install is cheaper than coming back for it later, since the crew and the ladders are already there. It’s worth asking about when you get your quote.

What does it cost?

Pricing depends on linear footage, profile, and material. We give you one flat number in writing before any work starts, and that’s the number on the invoice.

Is your basement flooding?

Now is the time to protect your home.
